Your Wedding Photography

Congratulations! What an exciting time, planning your big day! You have so many choices to make and who will be your photographer is a big decision. After all it's not like you have a lot of experience picking out wedding photographers!

First ask yourself "Do I like the work?" But a close second is "Do I like the photographer?" Nobody else spends as much time with you on the wedding day as your photographer. If you have a great rapport and really like the person, chances are you'll have a terrific time during the portrait session on your day.

Once you connect with a photographer, find out how much experience they have. Pretty pictures of sunsets don't necessarily mean a photographer has the people handling skills for a wedding. With years of experience the Smith's have a great instinct for capturing the moment. Your wedding will involve a large number of people with a wide variety of personalities, it's important your photographer can manage your family and wedding party, without anyone feeling ordered around. Your entire day should be a wonderful enjoyable experience, including the photography session. The right photographer makes sure that happens.

Once you know you have the right studio, talk about your investment. Don't make a mistake of deciding based on numbers. A million 8x10's for $100.00 is not a good deal if you don't like any of them, or if the photography unpleasant. What value do you place on your memories? That should tell you what to budget for photography.

Deposit / Retainer - A $400.00 retainer is required to secure your wedding date on our calendar. This retainer is credited towards the total investment of your wedding photography services. Balance due is payable in two payments. The first payment is payable 60 days from your wedding date, and the second payment is payable 30 days from your wedding date. If your wedding date is within the 60 days payments will be arranged.

Price Guarantee - Once your contract is signed we will maintain the current pricing through your initial order. Thereafter regular studio pricing applies.

Discounts - While your website is open your wedding day photography prints will be offered at a discount from studio pricing. After your site closes regular studio pricing applies.

Overtime - The cost for having a photographer beyond your contract time is $85.00 per half hour. All balances shall be paid in full prior to the release of any photographs, proofing books or website opened.

Master DVD - After your 4th Wedding Anniversary you are welcome to purchase your Master DVD, which contains all the digital images of your wedding day. Purchasing the Master DVD allows you to have a digital record of your wedding day memories. Cost is based on number of images in files. Your Master DVD will be retained for 7 years. All files will be destroyed after the 7 years has passed.
